আমার খেলা সেরা অ্যাডভেঞ্চার গেমঃ মেশিনারিয়াম

আমি অনেকদিন ধরেই অ্যাডভেঞ্চার গেমের ফ্যান ছিলাম। আমার খেলা সবচেয়ে সুন্দর অ্যাডভেঞ্চার গেম আগে ছিল সাইবেরিয়া। ২০০৪ সালে রিলিজ হওয়া গেমটি এখনও অনেক অ্যাডভেঞ্চার প্রেমিকের কাছেই স্বপ্নের মত একটি গেম। তবে গতকাল মেশিনারিয়াম নামে একটা গেম খেললাম যেটি আমার সমস্ত ধারণা পাল্টে দিয়েছে। ফ্ল্যাশ ভিত্তিক ৩৮০ মেগাবাইটের গেমটি উইন্ডোজ, লিনাক্স এবং ম্যাক এ চলে। আসুন দেখি গেমটির মাঝে কি বিশেষত্ব আছেঃ

উবুন্টু বা ফেডোরাতে খেলুন নিড ফর স্পিড মোস্ট ওয়ান্টেড

২০০৫ সালে রিলিজ হওয়া নিড ফর স্পিড সিরিজের মোস্ট ওয়ান্টেড গেমটি সকল রেসিং গেমারের মাঝেই খুবই জনপ্রিয়। এর রেসিং ইঞ্জিন, একশন, প্লট, গেমপ্লে, গ্রাফিকস সবই ছিল আসাধারণ। উইন্ডোজের এই জনপ্রিয় গেমটি ন্যাটিভ ভাবে লিনাক্সে খেলা না গেলেও ওয়াইনের কিছু সেটিং পরিবর্তন করে খুব ভালোভাবে গেমটি খেলা যায় (ভাল গ্রাফিকস কার্ড থাকলে সব কিছু ফুল করেও স্মুথলি চলে)। তাহলে আসুন কথা না বাড়িয়ে দেখি কিভাবে আমরা লিনাক্সে খেলব নিড ফর স্পিড মোস্ট ওয়ান্টেড।

Assassin’s Creed:One of the best modern game I’ve ever played

Some days ago I mentioned that I’m not a fond of modern game. Partly cause these games are far too complicated or you have to do various types of work or you have to encounter various complex situation.But I wanna declare that after playing COD & Assassin’s Creed my thinking about modern game have changed. Not entirely but partially.I’ll review COD(Call Of Duty,For those who don’t know) later.Let’s review one of the most devastating games of modern era.UBI soft’s Assassin’s creed.At first glance,the game seemed unattractive to me.Cause when you start the game,what you can only see is blur.Then a very long cinematics.Here is the review point by point.

Storyline:

Well,the storyline of the game is the thing which will attract you most,if you like this game.It’s the first game of the world which familirize you with a dual storyline at a time.Which doesn’t mean you have to play the game as different characters.But you have to play the game as a same person.But at his present & past.Something like the Matrix.But not so complex.After the blur I mentioned earlier vanishes,you understand that you have certain memory of your ancestors who were assassins,which could be usefull.A paranoid doctor wants to reclaime the memory by using a very high tech instrument called the animous.You have no way to deny him or else you’ll die.Then We begun the real game.You work as an assassin called Altair.His master Al-Mualim send him to steal an artifact.But Altair fails.Then he(Master) demote him.In order to get back his lost dignity,Altair must assassinate 9 person who were Knight Templer.But after assassinate them,he found that his master was one of them too.So he killed him.But that’s not all.After finishing the game,you can understand that the assistant of the scientist,called Lucy is also an assassin.So in order to be freed from the labratory,Miles must have her help.There ends this game.We have to wait for the 2^nd part to come.

ADVANTGES:

1.The main advantage of the game is,you have to play a double part of the same person in two totally different situation.

2.The graphics of the game.It’s awesome.You should utter only one word if you play the game setting everything in detail,“WOW!”

3.The sound effect are so real that you can understand what characters are saying without even thinking about it.

4.The combat tactics are like real combat.No artificial move or heroic things.Only normal fighting.But with immense reality.

5.The perspective.Those are designed as such you never been bored.

DISADVANTAGES:

1.There is no way to view subtitles in the game.Though the speaking is very clear,still there should be subtitles.

2.It’s very odd to view that people in Arab speaks modern english in 1190 A.D.Totally creepy man!But the most crippiest thing is Altair exchange salutation by saying“Peace be upon you” rather than “Assalamu Alaikum!”

3.Besically you have to repeat same procedures 10 times in order to feel some thing different.That is:

(A)Recieve your orders.

(B)Go to a certain place and speak with the berou leader.

(C)Investigate.

(D)Assassinate.

(E)Return to Al-Mualim.

But it won’t seem so boring when you have such detailed graphics & crystal clear sound.

4.Climbing ledges will sometime seems to so difficult that you should think about reconstruct the whole game again.

5.Sometime almost 40 soldiers encircles you.That time you could feel helpless.

6.Some combat move is so difficult that I’ve never been able to perform them, such as “Defence Break”.

OVERALL:

I gave the game a ratings of 9.5 among 10.Scorcher man!!

Crusaders of Might & Magic

I bought my first computer back in 1999.That time I was only on class I. That time my pc was a Pentium 2,64MB RAM, 8MB AGP. How funny! Isn’t it? But I’ve played the best game of my life in that toy like computer. The name of the game is “Crusaders of The Might & Magic” or something like that. Though it was a very old game, if you play it considering its development year, which was actually 1998, you will only utter one word which is “WOW”. I found it in a cd. Actually it was a cd of Age of Empires I. the game came as bonus. So I didn’t install it at first. After playing age of empires for a few days, I, of course Uncle Hasin was along with me, decided to install it. When we installed it, the only word we could say is “Scorcher”. As the game progresses, we found more and more twists and turn in the game which was incredible that time. I know that it will look quite ridiculous to you, but I suggest you to collect this game and play it. I bet still you will like it. The plot is like that. I can’t remember the exact things but it is similar. Our hero is a prince of a country. One day while he was not in his kingdom some evil things capture his kingdom. Then when he returns, he learns that if he wishes to bring his kingdom back, he will have to fight the evil. That’s not a problem, the problem is, and he has to go to the evil’s kingdom. To do so, he will have to fight his way there. The game play was excellent. The major points Aspects to like the game were:
1.    Game play. It was scorcher.
2.    Detailed storyline.
3.    Extremely good graphics.
4.    Uses of wide varieties of weapons, shields & armor.
5.    Casting of magic. Known as “Mana”.
6.    Various puzzles.
7.    Varieties of bosses.
LACKINGS:
If you see things from nowadays time of view, you’ll find many lacking. But the only disgusting matter we saw there that you have to totally repeat what you’ve played after completing 50% of the game. Because you have to get back where you’ve started.  This is the only problem.
Overall: I give the game 9.5 out of 10.What will you give?
